Teach To Standards

Welcome.

Do You Have A Tough Decision to Make?
Try this effective decision-making  process.

There is a growing consensus that American schools are in  trouble. Despite No Child Left Behind and scores of similar national and local initiatives, national assessments of student progress show little movement in the direction of catching up with the level of achievement by other industrialized nations.

Here is a book that looks at the problem and suggests some answers.

New Feature

Forum for Teachers

This feature has been added with teachers in mind. Every day we, teachers face a multitude of issues. Some issues have to do with instruction. Some have to do with students. Some with administrators. Some with colleagues. Some with parents, and on and on...

As we work with these issues, questions often arise that we wish we could "bounce off" someone we could trust without feeling vulnerable.

Well, this feature was created for just that purpose: To enable teachers to ask questions as the need for answers arise and to get answers without losing one's confidentiality. And what's really exciting is that other teachers who have the same or similar questions, can benefit from the answers provided.

How does the forum work?

When a teacher posts a question, other teachers are able to respond to the question. Both the question and answers are then posted so that the questioner and other teachers can benefit from the dialog.

We invite you to use this forum to begin a conversation with your colleagues as we seek to become more effective teaching professionals.
